Biography
I grew up in Newtown Square. If you haven't heard of it, don't worry; it's a suburb just outside of Philadelphia. In my first week at the University of Pittsburgh I caught the journalism bug and have been writing ever since.
Over the past four years, as a writer and editor for the national-award winning University of Pittsburgh student newspaper The Pitt News, I have covered local and state government, university administration and other issues.
I have taken on three different internships, for pa2010.com, the Pittsburgh City Paper and the Pennsylvania Legislative Correspondents' Association covering politics and social issues.
I plan on going into journalism, whatever form it may take in the future. I have experience in print, blogging, producing video and occasionally shooting photos. Over the past three years I've tried my best to work and grow as a reporter and intend to grow further once I graduate in the spring of 2012.
